Co-owners Don and Becky Hein strive to create a cozy home kitchen ambiance in their shop. Their goal "is to have guests walk away feeling like their day just became a great one due to receiving excellent customer service and delectable desserts". We are hoping that the website will be a place where anyone and everyone can go to find out information not only about the wedding/reception but more about the two of us. Our little family. And the families and places where we come from. Having grown up in two very distinct parts of the country (he is from Fort Worth, TX and I'm from San Diego, CA), I wanted to be able to include subtle graphic elements that reflect where we are from. Since he is also a professional brewer (he works at Surly Brewing Co.) I wanted to include some elements of brewing too... Because we did not want any of these elements to be too over the top but, rather, subtle I decided on a classic Texas star, a starfish silhouette, and stylized hops and barley illustrations. So far, the site is still a work in progress... Begun by a family who understands how difficult it is seeing a child go through a tough medical situation (their youngest was born with a cancerous tumor), they hope to be able to give back and help others. As of today, Sweet Dreams for Kids has donated nearly 2500 pairs of new pajamas.
